Make a Small Space Look Bigger

A home is a space where we can relax, unwind and be ourselves. Chilling out in a favorite corner of your home after work is the dream. However, in today’s day and age, space is a major constraint for anyone wanting to make their dream home.

Interior Décor Tip: Make a Small Space Look Bigger

We cannot do anything about the space crunch, but what we can do is make a small space look bigger with certain tips and tricks:
1.     Space it Out – Pushing up all the furniture against the walls makes things look cramped. Instead, leave a few inches between the wall and furniture. Also, try angling your bed and other pieces of furniture to create more space in a room.
2.     Avoid Heavy Decor – If you do not have a lot of space, avoid heavy décor items such as paintings and heavy cabinets. This holds true for furniture as well. Instead, opt for wrought iron furniture and such décor to create an impact of minimalism.
3.     Brick Slip Walls – Using brick slip tiles instead of traditional paint is a definite way to make your space seem bigger. Brick slips can be customized according to your requirement, in terms of color and variety to add a light and airy element to the room.
4.     Mirrors – Mirrors are the quickest way to make a room appear bigger. Placing a mirror across a window is the best way to reflect light and also grouping smaller mirrors together and painting the frames the same color will create an impression of more space.
